Meet the band

Matt6_edited.jpg

Matt Bucher

Matt was brought up on American West Coast music, so it was an obvious choice to assemble American Highway celebrating this music.

Matt has been a professional musician for 30 years playing in many original bands and tribute acts performing throughout the UK.

He has also taught for many years with multiple students becoming professional musicians.

Gary then went on to join Who’s Next, (as Roger Daltry...who else!) Europe’s top Tribute to The Who touring the Uk & Europe for over 7 years.

Andy Rushton

Bass and Backing Vocals

Andy has been playing bass and guitar for as long as he can remember. He has played almost every style of music there is, and has worked in theatre, radio and session recording. But his first love is live music.

He grew up listening to classic rock and blues and is thrilled to have the opportunity to hold down the low end in the band. Andy tries very hard not to look like he’s having a great time on stage. He usually fails.
